ושדר חורם מלכא דצור אזגדין לות דוד וקיסי ארזין וארדכלין דאומנין לבנין כותלא ונגרין דחכימין למקבוע קיסין בעדנא דלא שלטא בהון מלטיתא ולא מתבזעין מן שרבא מטול למבני ליה היכלא:
hykla lyh lmbny mTwl shrba mn mthbzeyn wla mlTytha bhwn shlTa dla bedna qysyn lmqbwe dkhkymyn wngryn kwthla lbnyn dawmnyn wardklyn arzyn wqysy dwd lwth azgdyn dtswr mlka khwrm wshdr
Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees, masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.

וידע דוד ארום אתקניה מימרא דיי מלכא על ישראל וארום אתנטלת איקריה לעלא ומלכותיה מן בגלל לאוטבא לעמיה ישראל:
yshral lemyh lawTba bgll mn wmlkwthyh lela ayqryh athnTlth warwm yshral el mlka dyy mymra athqnyh arwm dwd wyde
David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted, for his people Israel’s sake.

ונסיב דוד תוב נשין בירושלם ואוליד דויד תוב בנין ובנן:
wbnn bnyn thwb dwyd wawlyd byrwshlm nshyn thwb dwd wnsyb
David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David became the father of more sons and daughters.

ואלין שמהת דאתילידו דהוון מתרבין בירושלם שמוע ושובב ונתן ושלמה:
wshlmh wnthn wshwbb shmwe byrwshlm mthrbyn dhwwn dathylydw shmhth walyn
These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

ושמעו פלשתאי ארום אתרבא דוד למלכא על כל ישראל וסליקו כל פלשתאי למתבע ית דוד לקרבא ושמע דוד ונפק קדמיהון:
qdmyhwn wnpq dwd wshme lqrba dwd yth lmthbe plshthay kl wslyqw yshral kl el lmlka dwd athrba arwm plshthay wshmew
When the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went out against them.

ופלשתאי אתו ואתרטישו במישר גבריא:
gbrya bmyshr wathrTyshw athw wplshthay
Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.

ושאיל דוד במימרא דיי למימר האיסק על פלשתאי ותמסרנון בידי ואמר יי ליה סק ואמסרנון בידך:
bydk wamsrnwn sq lyh yy wamr bydy wthmsrnwn plshthay el haysq lmymr dyy bmymra dwd wshayl
David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?” Yahweh said to him, “Go up; for I will deliver them into your hand.”

וסליקו במישר פרציא ומחנון תמן דוד ואמר דוד תבר יי ית בעלי דבבוי דדוד כתבור מאן דפחר דמלי מיין בגין כן שמא דאתרא ההוא מישר פרצים עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed prtsym myshr hhwa dathra shma kn bgyn myyn dmly dpkhr man kthbwr ddwd dbbwy bely yth yy thbr dwd wamr dwd thmn wmkhnwn prtsya bmyshr wslyqw
So they came up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. David said, God has broken my enemies by my hand, like waters breaking out. Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

ושבקו תמן ית טעותהון ואמר דוד ואתוקדו בנורא:
bnwra wathwqdw dwd wamr Tewthhwn yth thmn wshbqw
They left their gods there; and David gave a command, and they were burned with fire.

ואוסיפו תוב פלשתאי ואתרטישו במישרא:
bmyshra wathrTyshw plshthay thwb wawsypw
The Philistines made another raid in the valley.

ושיל תוב דוד במימרא דיי ואמר ליה יי לא תסק בתריהון אסתחר מעלויהון ותהך להון מקבל אלניא:
alnya mqbl lhwn wthhk melwyhwn asthkhr bthryhwn thsq la yy lyh wamr dyy bmymra dwd thwb wshyl
David inquired again of God; and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them. Turn away from them, and come on them opposite the mulberry trees.

ויהי כמשמעך ית קל מלאכיא דאתין לסיעותך בכין תפוק לקרבא ארום נפק מלאך שליח מן קדם יי לאצלחא קדמך למקטול ית משרית פלשתאי:
plshthay mshryth yth lmqTwl qdmk latslkha yy qdm mn shlykh mlak npq arwm lqrba thpwq bkyn lsyewthk dathyn mlakya ql yth kmshmek wyhy
When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then go out to battle; for God has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”

ועבד דוד היכה דפקדיה יי ומחו ית משרית פלשתאי מגבעון ועד גזרה:
gzrh wed mgbewn plshthay mshryth yth wmkhw yy dpqdyh hykh dwd webd
David did as God commanded him; and they attacked the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
